To comply with local air quality regulations, UCR is required to conduct an annual commute survey and submit an employee commute reduction plan to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD).  All employees (including student employees) are obligated to report on how they travelled to work the week of April 22-26, 2024.

The survey collects data on the number of people and vehicles coming to campus.  It’s important for all employees to account for how they got to work during the survey week, even if they work remotely (telework) some of those days.  For those that don’t work due to illness, vacation, etc., just select the appropriate drop-down box to account for the week.

Employees will begin receiving emails with a link to the survey on Friday, April 26, 2024, and weekly thereafter until they complete the survey.  The survey can also be accessed at
