UCR celebrates the announcement by Metrolink of the extension of its Student Adventure Pass program through June 30, 2025. This program, introduced in October 2023, allows anyone with a valid student ID, including UCR students, to travel anywhere on the Metrolink system free of charge.

By covering transportation costs, students can redirect their savings toward essentials like food, rent and school supplies. Moreover, it encourages the use of public transportation, taking cars off the road and improving the environment for all Southern Californians.
To register, students should download the Metrolink app and register for an account using their UCR email address. Then, verify your account via the confirmation email. The pass will be uploaded to your mobile wallet. When riding the train, students must present an active ticket and valid student identification upon fare inspection.
