UCR Transportation Services (TAPS) was named Organization of the Year by the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI). IPMI acknowledges professionals and organizations operating, maintaining, and managing parking and mobility operations at extraordinary levels.
TAPS was nominated for this year’s awards for pioneering transportation programs that serve both the campus and community. Some of the innovative programs and services TAPS was recognized for include:
- The successful Donations for Citations program which supports the community with much needed lifesaving blood donations.
- Their partnership with the Riverside Transit Agency, providing the UPASS Program which offers fully subsidized transit passes to students and staff as well as subsidizing the Route 56 shuttle enhancing campus accessibility for those with mobility challenges.
- Planting fruit trees in parking lots contributing to UC’s Global Food Initiative.
- The Motorist Assistance Program which offers free battery jump starts and vehicle lock-out services reflecting commitment to customer care.

This year’s award winners are featured in the July issue of Parking & Mobility magazine and were honored in person at the 2025 IPMI Parking & Mobility Conference & Expo, June 8-11 in Louisville, KY.
