Transportation Services is once again partnering with LifeStream Blood Bank to bring you the Donations for Citations Blood Drive - a program that supports community health while offering a practical benefit to our campus community. Patients relying on transfusions depend on donors like you. Every donation makes a difference to someone in need. Roll up your sleeve, do some good, and take a little weight off your parking fine.
Where and when:
- Transportation & Parking Services – 683 Linden Street, Riverside. Parking in Lot 21.
How it works:
- Donate blood and receive full credit toward a single parking citation, up to $91.
- Everyone who attempts to donate qualifies for a receipt — even if your donation is deferred or declined for any reason.
- Don't have a citation? Donate anyway! We encourage everyone to participate, citation or not.
Ways to use your receipt:
- Apply it toward your own parking citation.
- Give it to a friend or coworker to help pay off theirs.
- Donate it to TAPS staff, who'll enter it into a raffle to cover a randomly selected citation on campus.
You can schedule a time online in advance here: https://www.lstream.org/ucrtaps/. Participants will receive snacks, drinks, and giveaways such as tote bags and gift cards (while supplies last). All registrants will automatically be entered into a prize drawing for a bike package!
Rules & Guidelines:
- You will receive full credit for a parking violation up to $91. (Does not qualify for citations received due to parking in disabled spaces.) Any additional late fees need to be paid at the time of donation.
- Citation credit must be redeemed with TAPS staff the same day of blood donation. Credit cannot be saved for future use.
- You are allowed credit for more than one citation if there is a donation receipt for each.
- No credit will be given for citations that have been appealed and dismissed.
- The blood donation must be made at the TAPS/LifeStream blood drive between October 28-30, 2026.
